Laptops, MacBooks and iPads
The Health Sciences Library at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus offers a limited number of Dell laptops, MacBooks and iPads for checkout.
These devices are available at the Service Desk, and may be checked out to Health Sciences students, faculty and staff on a first come, first served basis. Students can check out devices for two days, CU Anschutz Faculty and Staff have a 4-hour checkout. Devices are renewable once.
MacBook computers run OSX and include standard Apple software (iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand) and Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 (Word, Excel, PowePoint and Outlook).Dell laptops run Windows 7 and include Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access). All laptops have wireless internet access with a selection of web browsers.
Note: Library computer usage is subject to the CU Administrative Policy Statement 6001 Providing and Using Information Technology Policy. Unreturned laptops and iPads will generate lost bills quickly and users will be held liable for misused or unreturned devices or missing components.

iPads contain pre-loaded apps including Eye Chart Pro, First Consult, Micromedex, Clinical Trials Mobile, Molecules, & Upper Respiratory Virtual Lab as well as art & productivity tools. Users can download apps using their own iTunes account; the iPad will be wiped clean of this information when returned to the Library.
Cell Phone and MacBook Chargers
A universal cell phone charger and a MacBook power adapter charger are available at the Service Desk for a 4-hour checkout.
Various video adapters are available for checkout for Mac and PC laptops to connect to flat screens via HDMI, DVI or VGA connection methods.
