How do I find books?
Use our FindIt discovery tool, or use IMPULSE, the catalog of the Health Sciences Library and 8 other local health sciences libraries. If you find the item you need, look for the HSL code in the item record--this will tell you it is owned by the Health Sciences Library.
Reference and Reserve books are located on the first floor of the library. Books, atlases, slides, DVDs, CDs, videos, and audiocassettes are located on the third floor--they are all shelved together. An exception to this are items from the Health Sciences Library's Special Collections - these items have special location codes and locations with the IMPULSE catalog.
If you do not find the item you need, try using the red PROSPECTOR button from within your IMPULSE search. This will search the holdings of most major Colorado public, academic, and special libraries all at once. You can request items from these libraries to be delivered to the Health Sciences Library on your behalf.
